  2. I love mason jars and have so many in different sizes, the small ones are awesome for storing paperclips or rubber bands, the normal size I use for vases and pen jars like you. So many handy uses…thanks for the other ideas, I never though about using them for extra paint. I have so many cans with just a little bit left over, this would be perfect.

    1. I like the idea of storing paperclips and rubber bands in the smaller ones! GREAT idea Samantha! Mason jars sure are a handy item to keep around the house – and different sizes! Thanks for sharing Samantha!

  3. My mom recently told me that once I get moved I can have her mason jars…YIPPEE!! I will have space to keep them and want to use them for some food storage and gifts. I LOVE your ideas! I'm thinking Hot Fudge sauce for Christmas gifts in a basket… and Yes, I will e-mail you some details on my move and why…I'd love to share my story 🙂

    1. That is a sweet item to inherit! Hot fudge sauce as a Christmas gift? LOVE IT! I also can't wait to hear more of your story Teresa! Thank you 🙂

  4. May I add my favorite? I put sand into the bottom, about 1/4-1/3 of the jar, and press a votive candle into the sand. Beautiful, beachy look for the back porch table, especially five or six lined up down the center. (Another quick tip: If you use a small candle that isn't a votive, when the wax melts, it'll melt into the sand and not onto the glass!)

    1. I LOVE this idea Mary! I bet that is gorgeous as you line them up on the table – what a great idea! And a great way to protect the jar by having the wax melt onto the sand. I am going to have to remember these ideas Mary – thanks for sharing!

    1. Latanya – I have seen that done and have always wondered how long they stay "good"? What a GREAT idea! Do you make them in advance for the week? Just wondering your thoughts :). Thanks!
