Another First Together
I am such a homebody. I love the days when Mazers and I just cook, bake, read, play, talk, dance, and just live life TOGETHER. If someone walked into our home, I am sure they would wonder who in the world this crazy lady is, but all I know is that Mazy loves it. That…
I am realizing that the older I get, the more I enjoy fall. I always used to be a “summer” girl, and probably always will be to some extent, but there is something about the smell of fresh cider, apples filling up the displays at grocery stores, the smell of pumpkin-everything, that gets me excited…
Ribbon is something that can be used for many DIY projects, but unfortunately it is the crafting item that can cause the most frustration. My spools would get all tangled and even knotted. Plus, some would fall to the bottom of my bin and therefore I didn’t even know what I had! What is the…
Last night Dan and I wanted to go exploring. I told Dan that at some point we HAVE to go to New Ulm, where New In Town (the movie) is based out of – I remember reading somewhere though, that the movie is filmed in Canada. So I am not sure what parts are actually…

What: Keys Why: Whoever invented the key, should’ve invented a “nametag” to go on the key so that we know what the key is actually for. Don’t you agree? Yes, I know they sell those color-coded key covers, but they still don’t help if you don’t even know what the key is for. When we…

Thank you once again for sharing your heart with us! So glad we could provide you with a "Fun Run" and be used by God to bless you today! Thank you also for blessing CMCS by your participation. Even though you talk about you and Dan racing, there were 715+ who were racing/walking with you to support CMCS! Your "First" is also a blessing to that family that is in need of tuition assistance or a bus ride to school. Amazing how God accomplishes so much through the corporate working of His people!
Your story also brought a tear to my eye as I also sit here reflecting on Elias and his heart. So happy he could compete this year as well! We anxiously await his July 31 appointment to hear what the Dr.s have to say about his 6 month Echo-Cardiogram. The tech that did the test said he notices some leaking, but couldn't tell if it was good or bad because he has no records of where Elias was at after his surgery.
Day by day. Faith in Christ. All is well.
Kevin
Thank you for your message Kevin! That is crazy that 715+ ran/walked today! That is mind-boggling to even think about! And for such a good cause- a cause we believe in :). I too, think of Elias as he has so much ahead of him yet. What will his life look like? What does God have in store for His future? That is where the comforts of Heidelberg Catechism 1 comes in – we are not our own, but belong BODY and SOUL to our faithful Savior Jesus Christ. I bet July 31 cannot come sooner. May God give you peace of mind and heart as you anticipate that time. Keep me posted! You and Jen are amazing people 🙂
