Exploring Minnesota – New Ulm
Taking “good” pictures of Mazy sure is difficult these days, but nothing beats the candid shots! Not a real fan of this picture taking thing Finally got pigtails in her hair again! Stats: ~ Unknown (though we feel she is growing like crazy!) Food: ~ Favorites: hot dogs, lasagna, mac ‘n…
If you are a Karen Kingsbury fan, she now has a NEW MOVIE coming out, based on one of her books! I often find myself getting hooked quickly in her stories and after watching the trailer for this movie, I think I’m going to enjoy this movie just as much! Based on the popular novel…
I know, I know, you are probably wondering how in the world someone has time to declutter their home every single day. I wondered how in the world it was possible too, until I started to do it. I have had many times in life when someone asks me why I do or don’t do…
Disclaimer: I fully admit I sometimes forget to do this one habit, so know that no one is perfect! Do you ever jump into your car, not knowing where to go with anything because there is so much trash and clutter? Especially in the middle, where you’re supposed to be able to set things? Like…
Five years ago, Dan and I experienced a tornado first hand. We were on our way to the Simply Youth Ministry Conference in 2012, located in Louisville, Kentucky. We had heard that there were going to be severe storms, but did not think it would effect our travel. We also owned a Dodge Intrepid, but…

Kristin!! I would totally go to New Ulm this summer with you! I love looking at the historical sites around the area! 🙂 You should head to Montevideo sometime and check out the Pioneer village! But go this summer, when you can walk around! Then the boys and I can go too! They are awesome sites! <3
Wow we just have so much in common! Dan and I both enjoy historical sites. We will definitely have to go both places this summer!
You had fun cleaning? The only time that happens to me is if I have company to talk to and keep the kids out from under my feet! April is right though, Pioneer Village is SO much fun! There are some really cool historical spots down in the Minnesota River valley about 30-45 minutes south of us too … old farmsteads, sites of Indian attacks, and 2 miles west of Pburg is a farm that actually is listed as a historical site because Indians once camped there on their way to the massacres in the river valley.
Ang – that is good to know about the Minnesota River valley too! I never even heard of it :). That is why asking people where to go (people who live here) is so much easier instead of meandering around towns, aimlessly. I LOVE old farmsteads and what not! Thanks for the info and if you have anymore, let me know!
