Tip #29 – Keep your junk drawer organized

The junk drawer can be one of the most disorganized places in our homes. Maybe you aren’t even sure what is even IN that drawer anymore. Or maybe the drawer is living up to its name – there is too much JUNK in there. Set a goal this year to keep that drawer organized. Anytime you see it starting to get messy, there may be items that do not belong in there. Make sure that everything is there for a purpose, and not just thrown in for no good reason. Keep it useful, practical, and organized!

Kristin’s Action Plan: I have a specific purpose for that drawer. I know what belongs in there and if something else gets thrown in there, it is quickly removed. We keep our address book, telephone books, office supplies, and a few cords stored in ours. When items such as nails, bolts, etc. enter in, out they quickly go! Knowing exactly what I want in there keeps the clutter out!

Ah, drawers – aren't they a catch all? The most random items can end up in them! It may take some serious organizing, but take it one drawer at a time :). Thank you for stopping by!
