How to live a simple life and be content with your FAMILY time. Family time. I think for many, this is becoming a foreign concept. Do you ever wish you could spend more time with your family? What is keeping you from spending time together as a family? Technology – I think that can be…
I don’t know about you, but every spring, the ants welcome themselves in and overstay their welcome! I have always used a store-bought ant killer, but I had run out of the old. I could’ve ran to the store, but I quickly jumped online to see if there was a homemade concoction that I could…
What has happened to the good ole cd I am not sure. Don’t know about you, but I still have some! It is hard to believe that cds are becoming a thing of the past since itunes, ipods, iphones have been created. Though all the “i’s” are taking over, cds are not completely out of the scene…
A few years ago, I did a “Favorite Things” post every month. I not only loved sharing what we use in our home, but also made me realize the things I appreciate and value in my life. So, I decided to start this series back up since I find myself wanting to share about the…
Tip #8 – Update Your Address Book Have some of your friends moved recently or over the past year? Have YOU moved recently? Are there people that you have in your address book that you haven’t talked to or heard from in years? By keeping them in your address book, you are assuming they are…

Great post. I have an iPad which I love. It replaced my laptop when it died. I work at home & my job provides the work PC. I have a cell phone but don't have a smartphone. I'm tethered to my computer all day so I like being away from it when I'm out & about.
I like this! Being able to step away IS a beautiful thing!
I love having a smartphone and it would be hard to live without once you get used to it but it is a convenience not a necessity. I moved up from a tracfone a year ago but still don't have a regular data plan. I mostly rely on wifi. So much is spent on expensive plans and high end phones.
The biggest negative I see is the distraction they are when with other people. Way too easy to keep checking phones or messing with them instead of spending time together.
That is exactly how I feel – once you get one, it would be hard to go back :). I agree too, that they can be a distraction – but I realize that even with my tracfone, I can easily pick it up and text someone, when with other people. It's a reality check and it's always something to think about! Thanks for sharing!
