Yesterday we attended our first college volleyball game!
Not that we really ever have “former” youth group kids as they will ALWAYS be a part of our life, but one of our youth group girls who graduated last year, is playing for Bethel College. Her parents and Kari’s sister were heading out there and we have been wanting to go to a game, so this was perfect!
We headed to the cities to St. Thomas University and had a chance to watch Kari play volleyball for the first time (we were 6 months late to Minnesota to watch her play her senior year).
Going to sporting events is something Dan and I always enjoy doing (and I know I have said that many times). Being able to support people in what they love to do, we feel is very important.
We had a wonderful day of fun, laughter, and hanging out with some wonderful people!
We finished the night off by going to Cabela’s, which was fun! We had yet to go to that one, so it was a day of MANY firsts! We went through a lot of uncharted territory for us – gotta LOVE exploring Minnesota!
Friday night, we also watched the Central Minnesota Christian School girl’s volleyball team win and move on in the sub-sections (what we would call playoffs). It was a volleyball-filled weekend, but a fun weekend it has been!
We continue to enjoy experiencing new experiences and taking advantage of all that is going on out here in the state of Minnesota!
