My 5 Favorite Things On Friday – Edition #14
This week’s edition of my favorite things on Friday is brought to you by MAZY! I’ve been keeping an eye on what Mazy has been playing with this week so that I could share with you, some of the things she has been gravitating towards! Of course this changes on the daily, but here have been some of her favs! What have YOUR kids been playing with a lot this week?
Magna-Tiles – Mazy had received magna-tiles as a Christmas gift this year, which was incredibly generous, and she LOVES them! There are some great off-brands too, that make them, and I would recommend any! Her creativity just flows with these and I’m not going to lie, I get excited when she wants to play with these too! A genius invention!
Do A Dot Art – At our local library, we had a laptime for toddlers this past winter. During that time, there was also a craft, and one time the craft involved using these markers. It sounds like such a simple concept, where all you do is make dots with these markers, but they are amazing! The creativity that you can also use with these, is insane! Just search online some projects you can do with these and your options will be endless! I had never heard of these type of markers before, but Mazy loves when I get them out!
Play-Doh – Hands down, this is Mazy’s most favorite thing to do in a day – PLAY WITH PLAY-DOH! I always make our own, but I do believe we have some name brand containers too. Mazy is always making me spaghetti and meatballs, bringing me eggs, coffee, you name it, all with her imagination! Such a simple thing to have in the house, but something Mazy has yet in her little 3 years of life, to ever get sick of. It comes out every single day and most often, multiple times a day!
Melissa and Doug Band In A Box – Mazy likes to make music, whether it’s a pretend instrument, my old trumpet, or with this set. Mazy LOVES music. Granted we only have one child, so this makes the “band” set a bit more manageable with the noise, but again, this is a big go-to for Mazy! Plus, I figure, even though it’s loud, having her learn how to play an instrument is a good thing! I can sacrifice quiet for her to learn about music and sounds!
Boogie Board – I had never heard of this, until my nieces had received one for their birthdays. It is a board with a little pen, that a child can write or draw on, then after they are done, they can press the “trash” button, and it disappears, creating a clean slate. You cannot save any of their artwork on it, but talk about an easy way to save paper! This is a GREAT item to have for sitting quietly in church, traveling, or just sitting at home. We always take this along when we leave the house (if I remember…) because then I will always know she will have something to do!
Well, that’s what Mazy has been enjoying playing with this week! How about your kiddos?
