5 Favorite Things Friday #1
Don’t we all love to hear ideas of what works and what doesn’t? As a mom, not that I am trying to be like everyone else, but I “love” hearing recommendations for things for my child! Much of what we have, has been recommended to us by other moms.
That is why I want to start a new series called 5 Favorite Things Fridays. We will see how long it lasts (much like a lot of my series…it’s always a wonder…), but I thought it would be fun to share some of the things that we have in our home that we appreciate and have gotten a lot of use out of. So without further ado, here’s Friday’s 5 Favorite Things:
Play-Doh Ice Cream Castle: Mazy received this play-doh castle for Christmas and every morning, this is the first thing she wants to play with. Granted, play-doh is always something she gravitates towards. Nevertheless, this toy has gotten it’s worth out of it!
White Mountain Candy Wrapper Puzzle – 1,000 Pieces: When I knew my upcoming open heart surgery would have me homebound for awhile, one thing I was looking forward to doing was puzzles. Someone had sent us a puzzle, which probably little did they know, how much I love, let me reiterate, LOVE, puzzles! I would have a puzzle going 24/7, if it did not take up half of our kitchen table!
Hopper Ball for Kids: Last Christmas, our friends had given Mazy a “hopper ball.” This has been a toy that she plays with again, for almost everyday! It teaches coordination, gets the energy out, but is so fun to watch her play with! Watch out for sharp corners though because once they get bouncing, they go higher, and higher…
Melissa and Doug Water WOW! Activity Pads: I do not think Melissa and Doug makes a product that I wouldn’t like! In fact, this Christmas, Melissa and Doug toys were a hot item for us, which I could not be more thankful for! One item that we have multiple of, is the Water WOW! Activity Pads. They are a simple activity to do while waiting anywhere, can be used in the car, and the best part, can be used OVER AND OVER. Sign me up for an item like that! Plus, they are only FIVE BUCKS!
This stroller we have had in our household for awhile now, but it is something Mazy keeps reverting back to. From just walking to now playing with her dolls and pushing them to who knows where her mind will take her, this is a must-have! I can’t wait until this spring when we can go on walks together and she can push her baby in a stroller as we stroll along!
What are some of YOUR favorite things?
I would like to create posts from my family and friends of THEIR 5 FAVORITE THINGS! If you could, please send me a list of your favs and just a brief description of why! Remember, the reason we have what we do, is thanks to recommendations. I would love to share your recommendations here! AND…it does NOT have to be just “kid” items. It can be ANYTHING in your home that you appreciate! Please send them my way, to: kristin.sterk@gmail.com!
