5 Favorite Things Friday #2
Edition #2 of my Five Favorite Things on Friday!
Melissa and Doug Cupcake Play Food Set (bake and decorate) – at a playdate with a friend, they had this fun, creative, and imaginative set from Melissa and Doug. One thing you will learn is that Kristin LOVES Melissa and Doug items because they encourage so much creativity and play. Well, this cupcake set is no different. No exaggeration, Mazy plays with this daily, if not multiple times a day. She can draw icing on the frosting, pretend to bake them, and serve them up!
Almost Amish – MY FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME! This book offers ways to simplify your life, save money, be aware of how the world tells us how to live, how technology and our obsession with it is really affecting our lives, and so much more. If you are wanting to take a deep breath and admire how the Amish live WITHOUT becoming Amish, this book is a must read! I have now read it a few times!
Crayola Washable Kid’s Paint – 6 Count – Ah, finger paint. When your child asks to paint, do you just cringe? Mazy is very much into painting and I used to cringe too, but then I realized how well finger paint comes out of clothes and how really, it’s not worth my cringing, but my cheering on as I see her create and draw with her fingers! Not to mention, you can use paintbrushes too. In fact, I have been known to paint with her too…
EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale – I’ve had a digital scale in the past and it was very inconsistent, but with my heart failure, I needed something reliable and this one had a high rating on Amazon. I now know why! This has been a great scale that has matched up with other professional office scales, which is often NOT the case! You may not always like the number it says, but it is accurate!
Women’s Toetos Ankle Boots – While I was recovering, I couldn’t really go shopping. I couldn’t walk for long periods of time, couldn’t drive, and to be honest, had little desire to shop (though that’s not much of a change for me). I actually did not have a dressier pair of close-toed shoes. I knew ankle boots were in style, but to be quite frank, I didn’t have a clue how to wear them. I ended up googling (I know, this goes to show how unfashionable I am) how to wear ankle boots, and it looked practical. I decided to order a pair off of Amazon and to my complete surprise, it was simple, cheap, and well worth it! They may not last a lifetime, but this pair has sure served me well! I never imagined ordering shoes off of Amazon, but now I’m completely sold!
