We are home! I am going to warn you – I am still under the influence of IV sedation and valium, so some of the sentences and trains of thought I have, might not make a whole lot of sense. We arrived in Grand Rapids a little before 8:45am, and there sure weren’t a lot of people there at…

  • Beauty In Loss

Beauty. Beauty through experiencing loss. Loss is incredibly hard to explain – whether it be something tangible or something that you had to let go of all too soon. It is only because of loss, that the experience of carrying a child, is all the more, a miraculous gift. If it wasn’t for our first…

  • Around The Home

It is hard to believe that we have come upon “moving week!” I remember thinking back in March, oh, June is so far away. To now say that this is the week seems a bit crazy, but the time has come. We have shed many tears this past week, realizing that our life of 4…

  1. Thank you for your open and honest sharing! Your story is one of many that most people never hear about. Your perspective is beautiful and true. I know my brother and his wife yearn for the day when the the phone rings telling them they have been selected and a child is ready to join their family.

    Be blessed as you remember!

  2. Kevin…thank you for your kind words – we want to be open about what God is doing in our life because we know others have walked similar and/or difficult paths of life as well. There is just something so beautiful about being part of the body of Christ because there is an understanding that is unexplainable :). Because we live in a broken world, having children isn't as easy as we would all like to to be – I think of your brother! Would love to hear their story sometime! Thanks again for your comment Kevin!
