  • Our Gain or Christ’s?

Research shows that we make 35,000 choices a day. Choices that lead us towards or away from the goals and visions we have for our lives. These tens of thousands of choices we make also lead us one of two ways – either for our own gain or for Christ’s gain. And I’ll readily admit,…

  • Don’t Waste It

John Piper once said after being diagnosed with prostate cancer, “Don’t waste your cancer.” I have been chewing on that idea for awhile now, especially after being told I’m in complete remission from my leukemia. I don’t want to waste my cancer either. This past summer, I remember at one point, my feet were swollen,…

  • Case of the I Can’ts

For some reason today, I have a case of the “I can’ts”. It has been a rough day, reason being that I haven’t really dealt with my feelings deep down for awhile. That was kind of a mistake b/c it’s all coming out today. Some days something will bother me, but I just keep busy,…

  • “Spring” Cleaning

Spring. What comes to mind when you think of Spring? I often think of fresh flowers, warmer weather, new growth, birds singing, and house cleaning. 2. Oh dear friend – what a joy it is to read your story! I am so inspired by your faithfulness and trust in our Father through both life’s mountain tops and valleys. Love you!

  3. Kristin, you are learning some amazing lessons–and passing them on to us. What a blessing you are! Hang in there, girl! You’re so right when you say your life isn’t over. It’s interesting that you said you thought rehab was for the older people. Imagine how difficult all of this would be if you were older, with the additional challenges that some of us experience, especially as related to mobility! I know you are thinking you will learn lessons from them, but I’m sure they’re learning from you as well, the important ones: faith, tenacity, and a zest for life that perhaps some have lost. I’m praying with all of you that your next chapter will be built on the present one; it’ll be a goody for sure!

    1. I love what you said, Mary Alice, about this chapter being a building block for the next. I don’t always see life like that – I see it as more segments instead of building blocks. I like your way of thinking better because it’s so true! God doesn’t use it for nothin’! Thank you for being one of my biggest cheerleaders in life. Not sure what I’d do without my ‘bama buddy!
