I know I’ve been a little quiet over here on the blog, but I hope to change that over the next few weeks and as summer hits! Like for so many, life hasn’t gone the way we had planned, but it doesn’t mean God isn’t in control; nor is He surprised by any of it!…

Before every basketball practice, we try to read the Jesus Calling for the day. I appreciate those 2 paragraphs of spiritual inspiration and affirmation, that God has us in the palm of His hand. Today, while reading it with the players, the line “Thank Me for this day of life, recognizing that it is a…

  • Seasons of Suffering

Did you ever consider that you were created to display God’s strength? That mountain you are climbing, that season of life you are in, did you ever wonder if God is using it to strengthen not only your own faith, but the faith of others? We have spent years praying that God would take away…

  2. Oh dear friend – what a joy it is to read your story! I am so inspired by your faithfulness and trust in our Father through both life’s mountain tops and valleys. Love you!

It’s interesting that you said you thought rehab was for the older people. Imagine how difficult all of this would be if you were older, with the additional challenges that some of us experience, especially as related to mobility! I know you are thinking you will learn lessons from them, but I’m sure they’re learning from you as well, the important ones: faith, tenacity, and a zest for life that perhaps some have lost. I’m praying with all of you that your next chapter will be built on the present one; it’ll be a goody for sure!

    1. I love what you said, Mary Alice, about this chapter being a building block for the next. I don’t always see life like that – I see it as more segments instead of building blocks. I like your way of thinking better because it’s so true! God doesn’t use it for nothin’! Thank you for being one of my biggest cheerleaders in life. Not sure what I’d do without my ‘bama buddy!
