  • The “Body” of Christ

While cleaning yesterday, I was listening to another sermon. This time it was on Ephesians 4:16 especially and Romans 12:4-8. When I was first listening to this passage, it reminded me of a really dear friend of mine who is going through SUCH a tough time right now. I had to tell her about the…

  • Letting Go to Rebuild

On the high school retreat last weekend, the speaker was talking about letting go. What can you let go of, so that God can use it to further His Kingdom? For example, he spoke of the staff that Moses had, that God turned into a snake. By itself, the staff was just a staff. But…

  • God Is For You

My faith has been through the wringer. There have been so many times in my life that I’ve thought, “Okay, God, you see me down here, right?” I’ve questioned his constant presence – I know he’s always there – but I’ve wondered his distance. When I was in the hospital, a nurse asked me: each…

  • A Place To Call Home

Think about what words come to mind when you hear the word “home”. I often think of a place of comfort, living and doing what we love, a place to just BE, and a place to be together. How about you? What makes your home, a place to call home? A month ago, Dan accepted…

  1. Dan and Kristin I am so very sorry for your loss. I regret so deeply that you have experienced the loss of your babies and pray the Lord gives you a picture of himself cradling them in his arms. This life is so hard. You are a beautiful example of what it means to grieve as a Christian. May God grant you his peace that passes understanding as you move forward day by day and follow his leading for your careers and your family. Much love to you both.

  2. Hey Jill…

You said it so beautifully – you pray that God will give us a picture of Himself, cradling our babies. Jill, I can say He has and it brings us so much joy and peace. Peace in a time where it is hard to find. Understanding in this situation is hard to find, but God doesn't ask us to understand – He asks us to trust. And we know that that peace will pass the need to understand. Thank you so much for your love Jill and for your care. I know you too (though I have some catching up to do…) have walked a long road with children. A LONG road literally. So having this message come from someone who is walking a very tough road, is extremely uplifting. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and love with us Jill!
