Around The Home
Back to real life!
We spent this past week up at Secord Lake near Gladwin, MI, vacationing with my family! It’s something we do yearly and every year, it just doesn’t not disappoint! I must say, it truly is a highlight of my year. We always have such an incredible time playing games, hanging out by the lake, making puzzles, talking, laughing, and just living life together. I am so thankful we all make time to do this yet! I know life gets busy, but that one week together sure makes the drive worth it! Here’s a glimpse at what the week looked like, in no particular order:
The cousin gang!
We celebrated my niece’s birthday!
Mazy and her cousin just solving life’s problems together!
Words can’t express how grateful we are for grandparents!
More solving to do…
I got my touch back!
Vacation is hard work sometimes…
Some guy’s paddle boat apparently had a crack in it and they were sinking, so the guys “rescued” him and his fam and brought them back to shore…
Now THAT’S the life!
When you are on the boat and you want to jump into the water…undies it is!
Mazy could’ve gone tubing or on a boat ride all day if we let her!
People pay big bucks for mud baths…though I have to admit I STUNK after I rinsed off, BUT. My skin sure was smooth!
Mazy scraped her arm on the swim raft and after putting a bandaid on, she didn’t like it that she could see a little blood. So Dan wrapped it and then her cousins “signed” the gauze. Mazy thought she was pretty big stuff! The things you do for a 3 year old…
In the middle of the pic is Dan, after catching a fish
Mazy all ready for the ride to near Gladwin!
The biggest choices we had in a day was WHICH snack to eat! My dad had decided while Dan was still thinking…
We did FOUR, 1,000 piece puzzles while there! Needless to say, we enjoy our puzzles. Here’s one of them:
Our view:
Mazy LOVES her little cousin! How could you not?
Can’t wait until next year already! Is it sad that I started my “what to bring” list already?
I’ve got more pics of the week prior, so stay tuned for more!
