Around The Home
This week was a bit more eventful than we planned, but nothing happens without a purpose, and I feel this week has been no different. I have been feeling a bit more symptomatic, but didn’t expect another hospital stay. But thanks to that alarm that went off on my LifeVest, it has shown the doctors that yet again, my heart is just not functioning well at all. It was good for them to see the rollercoaster ride that my heart gives us all, and that it indeed, needs some intervention. So I will have a few more appointments coming up along with a holter monitor, but that is okay with me. I know I should not be feeling like this and nor can I live my life like this either, as the doctor said. So we are trusting that God’s gotta good plan for this who even too!
Aside from that, here’s what’s been going on this past week at the Sterks!
For youth group, we planned to have a dive-in movie, but we laugh now because it was a bit of a dive…
It rained all day so it was cold, then it started to sprinkle, then the sound wouldn’t work, then the screen blew over, then the movie froze. Ya know, there are times in life when ya just gotta realize that it just ain’t meant to happen! So we all went inside and watched the movie and warmed up :). So thankful for kids who are so flexible and understanding!
This girl has style! Peppa Pig bathing suit with a coon skin cap! Aw yeah…
Mazy’s cannonball:
What I love about having one kid is that after running an errand, we drove past the splash pad and Mazy wanted to go. I really had no excuse to NOT go, so I figured why not? With one kid we can make those spontaneous decisions quickly! Needless to say, she had a blast!
And then it rained one day…I had a coupon for BOGO 1/2 off at a local coffee shop, so we got drinks and played Chutes and Ladders! Just love being this girl’s mama!
We visited my sister and her girls at the Conference Grounds for an afternoon on Thursday! Mazy just loves that place! She looks like a beach girl the way she’s sitting
When you have a fire going and you want to FaceTime with your friends…you bring a lamp outside! (Dan’s the genius mind behind that one…)
And it began…
This sweetie struggled so much again, but I am so thankful for FaceTime! She LOVED to make faces for me and I admit, she’s much better at the fish face than I am! All I could do was laugh!
My beautiful view from my cardiac room that I finally made it to!
Our dear friend Val, took Mazy to Dutch Village this past week, while I worked on a talk I am going to be doing! I’m pretty sure Mazy thinks it’s the greatest place on earth and I love that it’s just 10 minutes away!
So much love for animals!
Mazy had to tell me all about the kitties that Val has…and then she made this hissing sound and says “that’s what one of them kept doing to me…” Little does she know that’s not a “good” thing 🙂
That blonde hair just blowing in the wind…what a cutie…
So hopefully this coming week is a bit less eventful and that I can get this holter monitor going in a few days, to determine what the next steps are. It’ll take some patience on my part, but I know it’s all for my good. May God’s will be done! Thank you for upholding our family in prayer!
