Fun and Fresh Patio Partying

Since we moved into our house almost 2 years ago to the day, I have dreamed of sitting out back around a table, with family and friends. Sitting around a table together, is the best way to shut off the stresses of the world, connect, and laugh. There is something about hearing the pool fountain in the background, neighborhood kids playing around the block, the smell of grilling filling the air, and sitting comfortably around a table as a family.

When Dan asked what I wanted for Mother’s Day, all I wanted was a cheap patio set. Ever since having been diagnosed with heart failure, I have all the more, embraced that quality time together. Every day truly is a gift and I want to capitalize on that, by ensuring we eat our meals together, around the table – and outside.

Thanks to Aldi, we were able to find a patio set on the CHEAP and thanks to Wayfair, for helping me make our patio party all the more fun and decorative, with their amazing products and endless options! I had nothing to start with, so starting from fresh, was all the more fun.

Through Wayfair, I was able to get 2 melamine dish sets, which I fell in LOVE with the design of these plates! These sets even came with tumblers. I also purchased circular placemats, for something a little different, but also to add a pop of color. Not only that, I found the cutest outdoor rug to go underneath the table, which matched our house perfectly! I was thinking it would be too busy, but with the dark color of our house and having a colored rug against the dark stain of our deck, it was just right. Here’s how it all turned out:

The dishware set is called Ingrassia 16-piece melamine dinnerware set for 4, by Latitude Run, and it’s in the sea aqua color. I love the mix of patterns, with the bowls offsetting the patterns.

To contrast the color of the plates, but also accent the color of our house, I chose the Wayfair Basics 15″ placemats in lime, which were very reasonably priced!

Here’s a look at the rug that like I said, matches just right! It is called the Betton Navy Area Rug by Bungalow Rose. The 5’x7’5″ rug fits perfectly in the space we have.
