Another Bump…

Yesterday another challenge was thrown into our path. There were two messages from Spectrum Health: one to say that they received a letter with recommendations from Mayo Clinic; the other was the schedulers to let me know they were sending me a letter about my appointment time to review what Mayo said – and it’s not til January.

Dan and I don’t know what to feel. We so wish we did not receive those messages yesterday, right before Christmas, because now we have that hanging over our heads and in our minds. But, God is faithful and He has a purpose in even this. We prayed last night asking God why, wondering why now, why one more thing to wait for, but God knows! We are seeking Him for peace in our hearts and minds as we wait til January to find out the results.

Crazy how God works – I just said in yesterday’s post that I need to learn more patience – didn’t think it would come this way, but here is one more test in patience :). We don’t know whether to cry, jump up or down, or just feel the same because they gave no indication about what the letter said. We are a little concerned because before my doctor said we could have the consultation over the phone, but they asked that I come in – that makes me anxious. I told Dan that since I want a vacation (I think that was 2 posts ago), if we need to go to Mayo, we are making a trip out of it :). And who knows, maybe it’s nothing like that. It’s when you don’t know anything, your mind can run wild on ya – so that’s why we are praying for peace of mind.

This was not what we were expecting to be in our minds this Christmas, but God is sovereign and is sovereign over this situation. We are excited to spend time with family and friends, to get this off our minds and excited to see what God has in store for us!

Better finish getting ready everything ready for the in-laws Christmas party today! Can’t wait to see all nieces and nephews and just be with family!
