Do You Know Where Your Help Comes From?
Happy New Year!
I have set some goals (which I hope to share later), but in making any plans, I want to hold onto my “life” passage, our marriage passage, and the same passage that Dan has also held onto as he grew up. Psalm 121. Who knew that this chapter in the book of Psalms would be such a comfort for our family through all of the ups and downs in life?
What will this new year bring? I have no idea. And I don’t have to have an idea because GOD watches over my life. Every minute. Every second. He will direct my steps. I can make all the plans and set all the goals I want, but if God has a different idea, oh how quickly those ideas will fly out the door as swiftly as they came in.
More than anything, I want to trust God’s promises in this Psalm, live by faith in those very words, and continue in my motto to love God and love people, knowing my help comes from him alone. The Creator of the universe – who made both heaven and earth, IS MY HELP.
May God bless you this coming year! And remember, sometimes blessings come through raindrops and storms. Hold onto His promises and trust in His everlasting care and love for you.
