Around the Home
Summer came in with a bang this week! After getting done with some big projects over the past few months, we had a bit more of a normal week. I’ll let the pictures tell the week’s story:
Mazy loves to play with my hair:
And the feeling is mutual:
We spent Memorial Day weekend with family, what more could we ask for?
I love this girl. So. Much.
We made it out to the beach one gorgeous night:
We cannot keep this kid out of water!
Even though we got dripped on while at the beach, this was the aftermath! Mazy appreciates rainbows just like her mama does:
Mazy came out of her room one evening and said mommy, I want to be like you. She put on a similar pair of shorts and tank top that I often wear, pretended to take out her contacts and put “glasses” on. It is so humbling when she tells me she wants to be like me…brings tears to my eyes!
Mazy wanted to learn to sew, so we pulled out the ole sewing machine and made a blanket and pillow for her Barbie:
Not to mention, this was BRIGHT and early in the morning:
Mazy could not love her sweet Maggie any more than she does! Thankfully we have a dog that sure puts up with a lot:
We just so appreciate the seasons in Michigan, including that of summer! We sure would miss them all, even if we missed just one. Summer is one of our favs, but there is something about giant snow storms. Watching the trees bloom. Seeing the colors of the trees in the fall. For all of them, we are thankful. In each of them, we see the power of God and the sovereignty he holds, amidst a world full of hurt and pain. At no point is he not in control and THAT, my friends, brings so much comfort and peace.
