Around the Home
We knew our June would be busy with so many fun activities and what fun we’ve had! This past week we had our high school retreat at a local lake about an hour away. We had great weather and such an amazing time getting to know the group better! Many laughs shared, that’s for sure! We took Mazy up the first night so that we could get set up and prepared for the kids to come. She wanted to go tubing in the worst way, but she had never gone by herself, but with Dan driving and me spotting, it was the only way we could do it, but she tubed like a CHAMP! She got tossed twice from not leaning back far enough when we first started, but she got right back on with no tears. A bit of a shocker, to be honest! She did so great and as safety-oriented as Mazy is, she was quite daring and so brave!

Happy Father’s Day, Daddy! Every year I take a picture of Mazy holding a heart with a message for Dan for Father’s Day. Oh to see her grow over the years!
Mazy wanted to go to the splash pad, but I knew the water would be cold :). Bonus of living so close was that she lasted about 5 minutes and then we headed home:
Some amazing storm cloud formations:
On Saturday night, we went to the Hudsonville Balloon Days Festival at Unity Christian High School. All the ooo’s and ahhh’s from Mazy represented how much she loved it! And I’ll admit, I equally had just as much fun – I mean who doesn’t love watching hot air balloons inflate and fly, while eating an elephant ear?
On the way home, we ended up seeing them land!
So thankful it’s summer! And between the times of being gone we’ve also spent plenty of time at the pool. Our little fish (Mazy) just can’t stay out of water!
