Let It Snow!

When Mazy was born last March, it actually snowed that day! Though we thought she might be a little young to experience snow for the first time. That is why we were looking so forward to snow – to see how Mazy would react. The snow FINALLY came and we ended up having to leave Michigan Sunday night and drive through the night, in order to beat the Winter Storm Warning. We are thankful for friends who sent us a text wondering if we heard about the winter storm coming (we had NO clue!) We left at 8:45pm Sunday night and made it home by 4:45am Minnesota time (we made GREAT time!). We also beat the storm (only hit white out conditions once). Even though our visit to Michigan was cut 12 hours short, we are thankful we left when we did because it would have been a rough ride home otherwise. Mazy also slept great in the car!

We all went to bed after we arrived home, and a few short hours after we woke up, this is what life looked like outside!

She was just awestruck at what was happening outside – she didn’t even have time to eat!

Dan later took her on her first sled ride. She actually loved it – not the whole “getting winter clothes on idea”, but the actual ride itself, she loved!
