When I see my blog as my personal journal, there are times in my life where I struggle to put into words what my heart is feeling and what my mind is thinking. It’s all in there, but sometimes I’m at a loss on how to express it all verbally. And I can’t blame chemo…

  • Around the Home

Hello May! Dan and I were just saying to each other, “What have we done the past 7 weeks during quarantine?” For the most part, it’s been projects outside and I feel like we’ve found plenty to do. But what I realized is that usually in life, we live by “markers”. We look forward to…

  • Merry Christmas!

I have this odd love of designing our own Christmas cards. For years I made our own out of scrapbook paper, a picture, and usually a little letter in it. I don’t really have the time to do so anymore during this stage of life, but I still like to design one using my fav…

This past week has been unlike any other and surely one for the books! If you have been following our journey recently, some of this is going to be repetitive and possibly boring, but one reason I blog is for the personal journal aspect of it. For me, much of life is about looking back…

  1. I'm so glad you've delivered a beautiful healthy baby girl, and will be praying for your health as well. I don't know if you remember who I am; I used to attend Lakeshore Baptist and was a missionary in Ethiopia for many years. I'm now back in the US since '08 and am working in the OB dept. at Lakeland in Niles. I'm writing to query whether you would have access to donor breast milk through your hospital or pediatrician. If you are struggling with producing enough for Mazy, you certainly qualify as someone who should be able to get some! It is pasteurized, so you can be assured it is safe, and is much better for little tummies! Didn't know if anyone had told you this is an option these days. Our hospitals get it through Bronson in Kalamazoo. Usually hospitals that have NICU's have supplies. Anyway, congratulations on your beautiful baby girl. Trusting God to continue writing your story to His Glory!

  2. Kristin and Dan,
We love you both so much, and Kristin we are praying for complete healing. We know our God is an awesome God and He is in control of every situation of our lives, no matter how difficult it looks right now.
Little Mazy is so beautiful and the Lord knows that she needs her Mom full time. we will also pray that the milk situation will be resolved. I read Nancy's great information and pray that this may be a solution.
Looking always unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith!!
    Karen and Joe
