  • Faith in Waiting

Our pastor today preached such a timely sermon! God has those little ways of touching our hearts when we don’t even realize how much they need to be touched, tweaked, and loved on. Trusting in the wait. Dan and I both came home thinking “this what we needed to hear.” In the back of my…

  • A $586 Trend

I think I’ve got my head in the sand. I was reading an update from The Culture Translator (if you don’t receive their emails, I highly recommend them), that this year, parents are spending roughly $586 per child, according to the New York Post. And that’s DOWN from last year. Um, come again? I understand…

  • Moving On

Today over all was a good day! I woke up excited to go to a Bible study that I’m a part of and just ready for a new day – hoping a day without a major breakdown. The Bible study was all about the devil and how he can and will creep into every corner…

  • Enjoy.

This past weekend, Mazy and I did a little mommy/daughter trip to the Mackinaw area. For those who aren’t familiar with the area, this place is iconic for the 5 mild suspension bridge that spans between the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan and also has a dreamy island nestled to the right of the…

  1. Such a great writing!! For me it was and is so different because most people don’t have a clue what chemo and radiation to a person. Mine is not visible to anyone but the pain is there. And we don’t walk around with a sign on our back😜. We deal with whatever God puts in our path. I love your smile- it is always there but I’m sure in private moments it can be otherwise. See you at church!

    1. Betty, I think you absolutely nailed it, most don’t have a clue what chemo and radiation can do! A battle I’m sure you constantly are fighting still to this day. I’ve often thought that as much as chemo kills the cancer, it kills much more within the body and some of that is permanent damage, just as much as it Lord-willing permanently kills the cancer. Hard to understand until you’ve gone through it. And I didn’t go through radiation! Thank you to have you in my life, Betty! Much love to you!
