Simple Uses For Everyday Items: Bleach
The first thing I think of when I hear the word BLEACH is ruined clothes. Why, I am not sure because I don’t think I have ever ruined anything using bleach. Though I seldom use it because I am fearful of that very thought above: ruining something.
What I have learned though, is that bleach can be used in a multitude of other ways. In fact, there are so many different ways that bleach is useful, that I now keep a big ole jug of it in our laundry area (in hopes that maybe one day I will dare use it in my laundry).
5 Reasons To Keep Bleach In Your House
1. Kills weeds – spray generously in cracks of driveway and in a day or two, the weeds will be dead.
2. Disinfectant spray – Mix 1 T. bleach in 1 gallon water. Spray and wipe area clean.
3. Buy toys from a garage sale? Disinfect by soaking toys for 5-10 minutes in 3/4 c. bleach, 1 gallon water, and a few drops of dish soap. Rinse well.
4. Clean grout in bathrooms and kitchen – mix equal parts water and bleach. Let set on stains. Scrub with a brush and wipe clean.
5. Remove mold and mildew from fabrics by putting 1/2 c. bleach in wash cycle
