Another First Together
I am realizing that the older I get, the more I enjoy fall. I always used to be a “summer” girl, and probably always will be to some extent, but there is something about the smell of fresh cider, apples filling up the displays at grocery stores, the smell of pumpkin-everything, that gets me excited…
It is that time of year when many are starting to think about eating healthier and trying to live an overall healthier lifestyle. I know that every year, I go through the same routine as well to some degree. Whether it be tweaking my diet or starting a new workout regime, I do the same….
It’s my 5 Favorite Things on Friday post – Edition #5! Unbreakable Plastic 10oz Cups – I have been in search for some quality but affordable “everyday” cups. We had some plastic ones, but many of them cracked if put in hot water. Not my cup of tea. I found these cups on Amazon,…
Today we went to Michigan’s Adventure with our middle school youth group kids! I always look forward to this trip because I LOVE my roller coasters! We had 10 kids go, which is AMAZING – that means every single kid could have gone, except one – but that one hasn’t been real involved over the…
WE ARE HERE! Wednesday we woke up to 10-11 inches of snow! We were SO thankful that God chose to send that snow on Tuesday night instead of Wednesday night because we spent a good chunk of time Wednesday morning just clearing off snow so that we COULD finish packing. We then had to put…
Welcome to my blog! Even though I haven’t changed the complete look of kristinsterk.com, I did decide it was time to freshen it up. With the ever-evolving options on the internet, I decided to start off summer by spending some time on rejuvenating this blog a bit. Just like with everything else in life, there…

Thank you once again for sharing your heart with us! So glad we could provide you with a "Fun Run" and be used by God to bless you today! Thank you also for blessing CMCS by your participation. Even though you talk about you and Dan racing, there were 715+ who were racing/walking with you to support CMCS! Your "First" is also a blessing to that family that is in need of tuition assistance or a bus ride to school. Amazing how God accomplishes so much through the corporate working of His people!
Your story also brought a tear to my eye as I also sit here reflecting on Elias and his heart. So happy he could compete this year as well! We anxiously await his July 31 appointment to hear what the Dr.s have to say about his 6 month Echo-Cardiogram. The tech that did the test said he notices some leaking, but couldn't tell if it was good or bad because he has no records of where Elias was at after his surgery.
Day by day. Faith in Christ. All is well.
Kevin
Thank you for your message Kevin! That is crazy that 715+ ran/walked today! That is mind-boggling to even think about! And for such a good cause- a cause we believe in :). I too, think of Elias as he has so much ahead of him yet. What will his life look like? What does God have in store for His future? That is where the comforts of Heidelberg Catechism 1 comes in – we are not our own, but belong BODY and SOUL to our faithful Savior Jesus Christ. I bet July 31 cannot come sooner. May God give you peace of mind and heart as you anticipate that time. Keep me posted! You and Jen are amazing people 🙂
