Another First Together

The 4th of July is JUST around the corner! Are you ready to celebrate? Well, I have the opportunity to team up with Wayfair by sharing my favorite dessert to join the celebration – one that represents the red, white, and blue, and the stars & stripes of the American flag! I’m here to tell you…
Tip #28 – Store your disposables in one place Sounds like a given, but how often do you have disposable napkins, baggies, paper bags, plates, etc., scattered throughout your house? Store them all in ONE place, so that you know exactly where to go when looking for them. That way you know what you have…
Do you use ribbon as one of your embellishments or add-ons? If so, you may have a ribbon clutter problem! I know I did for all too long. Often my ribbon spools would fall to the bottom of my bin and I would completely forget about what I even had. What is the point of…
Choices Choice is defined as “an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities” according to the lovely Google. A simple definition, but what a battle it presents! Think of how many choices you have to make in a given day: To get out of bed What to make…
It was a typical day in our home. Until the blankies had to get washed. For the past couple weeks, I have been mulling over in my head how I was going to combat the tears, since we had been down this road before. Unfortunately, I came up with no clever solution. So after Mazy’s…
With summer coming to a close, something that never gets old are s’mores. Am I right? I feel like there is always time for a s’more! And what I love about s’mores, is that there are so many ways to make ’em – that ooey gooey goodness! With today being National Toasted Marshmallow Day (who…

Thank you once again for sharing your heart with us! So glad we could provide you with a "Fun Run" and be used by God to bless you today! Thank you also for blessing CMCS by your participation. Even though you talk about you and Dan racing, there were 715+ who were racing/walking with you to support CMCS! Your "First" is also a blessing to that family that is in need of tuition assistance or a bus ride to school. Amazing how God accomplishes so much through the corporate working of His people!
Your story also brought a tear to my eye as I also sit here reflecting on Elias and his heart. So happy he could compete this year as well! We anxiously await his July 31 appointment to hear what the Dr.s have to say about his 6 month Echo-Cardiogram. The tech that did the test said he notices some leaking, but couldn't tell if it was good or bad because he has no records of where Elias was at after his surgery.
Day by day. Faith in Christ. All is well.
Kevin
Thank you for your message Kevin! That is crazy that 715+ ran/walked today! That is mind-boggling to even think about! And for such a good cause- a cause we believe in :). I too, think of Elias as he has so much ahead of him yet. What will his life look like? What does God have in store for His future? That is where the comforts of Heidelberg Catechism 1 comes in – we are not our own, but belong BODY and SOUL to our faithful Savior Jesus Christ. I bet July 31 cannot come sooner. May God give you peace of mind and heart as you anticipate that time. Keep me posted! You and Jen are amazing people 🙂
