Day 73: Gardening Tools
What: Gardening Tools
Why: It is that time of year! Do you have the tools you need to get the job done? Do you have multiples of tools, when in actuality, you can only use one at a time? Here are a few ideas on how to organize your gardening tools.
How:
1. Round up all of your gardening tools (hoses, seeds, trowels, shears, etc.)
2. Group tools together according to size.
3. Go through seed packets – if the are expired, throw them out! If you do not think you will use them, find someone who will enjoy them or throw them away.
4. Check gardening tools – if they are rusty, broken, etc., throw them away.
5. Find a place in your garage or shed where you can create a gardening center.
6. Ideas on how to keep tools organized:
- Use a peg board with hooks
- Hammer nails in a board
- Buy a tote or use a bucket so you can take the whole tote to the garden with you.
- Keep them in a wagon, along with your dirt, seeds, etc. so all you need to do is pull the wagon to your garden
Confession of the Day: I used to have multiples of many gardening tools – why, I am unsure. When I was going through them, I was ashamed at how many doubles I had – to the donation center they went! I was also keeping seeds that were expired. It is easy to just throw all gardening items in one spot, without ever going through them. Make sure to take the time to organize even your gardening tools! Organizing with less means going through EVERY area you can think of in your life, to rid your life of excess.
How do you organize your gardening tools? What did you plant in your garden this year?
I am glad to see your blog it's nice. You have used different kind of gardening tools which is useful to make garden work easier.
