Around The Home
What a beautiful weekend it was in West Michigan! There was so much sun that by Sunday, when it rained all day, we were okay with it because our pale Dutch skin had seen enough sun for a bit! I haven’t dusted our house in weeks, though I feel this past week we weren’t in it much since it was so nice outside, and that’s where we spend our time! Sure was a fun week and as we said numerous times this past week, “summer has arrived”. Amidst all the fun, I was having TOO much fun to remember to take more pictures of this week! But here’s what I got:
On Monday, we took advantage of our season passes to Dutch Village, and spent some time petting the animals and riding the swings, carousel, and ferris wheel!
This was the first time she rode the carousel horse without me standing right by her. As you can tell, she wasn’t so sure yet!
Here’s an arm workout for ya: push and pull, push and pull…and surprisingly, she made it all the way around!
My little one-eyed blonde Dutch girl!
As Mazy said a few times this week while swimming in the pool…THIS IS THE LIFE! Popcorn, sun-bleached hair, monkey sunglasses, while sitting in a tube – that is the life! As you can see, we are ready for helicopter season to be done too:
Saturday night we visited our friends who were camping at a local campground. Mazy always has so much fun with their boys! And they spoiled us with the BEST campground meal – hobo pies!
I can understand why the guy at the library the other week told me she is my little twin:
Tractor ride time!
The rare pic of Dan and I:
This week we are HOPING to get the results back from my holter monitor, just so that we have a gauge as to what’s going on with my heart. No decisions will be made yet I’m sure, but just to have an idea. We are ready!
