Around The Home
This past week, even though it rained a decent amount, we still found pockets of time to be outside and just enjoy the beauty of God’s world! Every day, we try to take a walk downtown Zeeland to look for painted rocks or whatever else we can find. On this particular day, we found an absolutely beautiful butterfly, that kept displaying it’s wonders to us:
Was SOOOO excited (can you tell?)
She wanted to hold it in the worse way, but didn’t quite dare, so I was able to pick it up ever so gently and she pretended to hold it :). This butterfly was a big ole one…look at my hand and the size of the butterfly!
And then after that, we found the prettiest painted rock with Big Red painted on it! She just re-hid it oh about a few trees down…
Kayaking with her cousins in their new kayaks!
On Tuesday we had a church council vs. high school softball game. SUCH A FUN NIGHT! The weather was perfect, the support amazing, and what a good game!
On Thursday, we had the privilege of picking up a dear, dear friend from the airport! Karisa is Mazy’s old babysitter from Minnesota, who watched Mazy every Wednesday night while we were at youth group. Mazy was not always easy when she was younger, but Karisa continued to love our little Mazy. It sure was hard saying goodbye to her when we moved! Our drive from the airport to her aunt’s house was far too short, but as you can see, she is missed and will always be a part of our family! Until next time…
While waiting for Mazy to get ready to go on our daily walk…this is what she came out of her room with…shorts and shirt that are 2 different colored pinks, Olaf socks, with flats. She was so proud of her outfit! Hey, whatever girl! On the walk we went…
We are still waiting to hear results from the monitor. Thank you for your care and love during this waiting period! I do plan to go on our mission trip to Alaska in a few weeks, which I am REALLY looking forward to. I received the blessing from my surgeon/doctor, so we are going to run with it. I’ve got my ICD, my life is in God’s hands, and I feel I am meant to go. We leave July 6, so we are hoping and praying that the results of this monitor don’t something obscure and new! Again, it’s all in God’s hands.
