Around The Home
It is hard to believe that we have come upon “moving week!” I remember thinking back in March, oh, June is so far away. To now say that this is the week seems a bit crazy, but the time has come.
We have shed many tears this past week, realizing that our life of 4 years here will soon be closing, yet a new life beginning back in our home state, Michigan. We never imagined it being such a mix of emotions and I would have to admit, yesterday was the hardest day yet. At times we are laughing and the next minute, weeping like babies. Maybe it’s just all coming to head at once or we are just complete basket cases, but it just shows how much our lives have been touched out here in the great state of Minnesota. Though we know right around the corner (literally, right around the lake), we have this huge family in Michigan waiting for us with open arms! Oh are we so thankful for that! We come willing and ready.
What I have realized is that I am thankful for all those who are faithful readers of this blog, who I have been able to connect with in a special way. I will of course keep this blog going, as it is my life journal. It may take some twists and turns as we move, but as you all know, I enjoy pouring my heart out in this blog. The ugly and beautiful. The hard and the easy. The mundane and the extraordinary. You all have been such a support system for me, so thank you. I’ve made some absolutely amazing friends via a simple blog and that is why I can’t wait to continue to do this, even though we will begin a new chapter.
Here is what our past week has looked like (besides all the packing…those pics would just get old!)
One of Mazy’s little friends has what I would call the COOLEST toy! It’s called the Spinagain Toy (click on the link to to check it out) and needless to say, we were both ecstatic when Mazy opened it! What a sweet and thoughtful gift!
Our crazy days mean some wake ups during naptime, but this mama has no problem snuggling her sweet little one!
It was officially the last youth group Wednesday night, which meant the annual go kart races in the church’s parking lot!
Which also included some of the BEST cupcakes that our friend Brianna made!

A little friendly racing never hurts!
We sure will miss these kids!
Thus begins the final packing preparations! My sister is flying in Wednesday night and we plan to leave Thursday at some point and make the trek back to Michigan! Dan and the moving crew will follow.
Then…we get to step into our new home FOR THE FIRST TIME!
To say that we are excited is a bit of an understatement! Can’t wait to say to Mazy, WELCOME HOME!
I know there are many people awaiting your arrival. Welcome back to Michigan!!
It sure will be one big welcome home party 🙂
