Around the Home
Hello photo dump! This past week absolutely flew by, which it seems to always happen after getting back from vacation the week before, but also getting prepared for school for Mazy, and I also started a new job at the local Christian school, doing after school care! Lots to learn, lots to do, and lots of blessings.
Due to the craziness, this was what our suppers looked like. Pasta, sauce, and corn. Easy enough! NOT Mediterranean Diet friendly, but still alive and going strong…
Mazy’s school had an open house for all of the preschool students and though Mazy was a bit nervous to go and a bit shy at first, she quickly became comfortable in that classroom!
And she couldn’t stop herself from organizing the toys already…
Mazy sure adores being a “big sister” to her cousin Ava! Mazy begs me often to have a sister, which isn’t always easy to hear, but we sure know that this is just how life will be and we will take all the cousin playdates we can!
One evening we went to a local park where all the ducks decided to say “hi” to Mazy. As they came closer, her grip on me became stronger and stronger as she was saying, “Uh Mommy? Don’t you think we should take a step back?” When I told her we were fine, she’s like “Fine, then I’m moving over here…” as she stepped behind me. I suppose those ducks look a whole lot bigger to her than to me…
The zipline is her favorite part! The giggles I could listen to all day!
The girl of many facial expressions…
Does anyone know what this is? I’m gathering a type of caterpillar, but never saw anything of the sorts before…
We decided to use our season passes to Dutch Village one more time and it ended up being the most GORGEOUS day!
Again, the expressions:
I think sitting down for lunch made her a little tired:
Pool time with cousins! Again, another PERFECT day to be in and out of the water! And, who needs official pool loungers when you have air mattresses?
Mazy’s favorite thing to do is take the hose water that comes from our solar panels and create a little hot tub in the middle of the air mattress, while sitting in our pool. What a life!
Catching our lunch on Saturday:
Heart Update: I am still waiting to hear what the next step is in my heart journey, after the last med I was put on for my severe arrhythmia issues did not work. I am still trying to get rid of a blood clot in my wrist from a previous hospital stay, so hoping after getting some steroids, that it dissipates soon.
I love these sweet installments! I am confident about your health, that “He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it!” Much love from Alabama.
This makes me tear up! And I am so eager to be a part of that completion – even if it doesn’t mean healing. If it means He is glorified, that’s all I want.
