Around the Home
This past week was crazy and chaotic with finishing up the floors and helping Mazy recover from the influenza, but like in everything, God is gracious and God is good. We are basically done with the floors, Mazy has recovered, and we are moving forward!
By Tuesday, Mazy was feeling up to running some errands with me, which meant a much needed ride on Sandy!
Even though she had been fever free for a few days, she was still trying to catch up on sleep! Our girl who struggles to sleep, had no problem falling asleep when she was tired. At one point, she fell asleep while Dan was using the air nailer, saw, air compressor, and hammer!
While re-doing the floors, we decided to also tackle our closet, which I will post about on Wednesday.
Feeling better also meant having the energy to play outside again. When Mazy asked if she could jump in the muddy puddles, all I could think about what the wet and muddy clothes that would come inside, but failed to see the little girl IN them, who couldn’t wait to just be a kid. So there she went:
And for the record, when she came in, there was mud on the walls, door, and she was dripping wet. But mud never hurts, right?
Getting the closet put back together!
On Saturday night, we went to a Grand Rapids Griffins hockey game with our youth group kids! We decided to take Mazy with us this year since she LOVES the kids and loves to do anything we do, so we gave it a whirl. She couldn’t have had more fun! In fact, on Sunday after church, she asked if anyone was still at the hockey game because she didn’t want to miss out, if they were. Thankfully I could tell her everyone went home – otherwise I think we might’ve had some tears!
Loving life right along with this girl!
And the finished product! I hope to do a post that shows the process of the floors someday…

If you didn’t get a chance, read about my latest heart update and the test results from my holter monitor! Again, God is just so gracious and so good. In the tough times. And the good times!
