Around the Home
It is no exaggeration that this week and the weeks/months to come, will be one that we will be telling our great-grandkids about someday! I feel we are living in a bit of a surreal moment in life, like I never thought that all of this sickness and disease would lead to this. But, “God has not given us a spirit of fear.” And that is what I walk in comfort with today! The next few weeks will be filled with time together as a family, time together as a couple, house projects, games, puzzles, house cleaning/organizing, and just capitalizing on this time. For God has a purpose for such a time as this. Even though our circumstances don’t feel right or good, God’s purposes always are. May we all search for those reasons in the next days, weeks, and months to come!
This past week we decided to tackle Mazy’s closet, which needed a lot of work done to it. Really, we probably would’ve been better off just redoing the drywall, but nevertheless, this worked – it’s just a closet:
The gorgeous weather begged for some walks outside! Maggie LOVES going on them with Mazy…can you tell by the fact that none of her feet are on the ground in this picture?
Mazy enjoys sensory activities and her idea was to bring out shaving cream and food coloring! Made a mess, but that’s why we were outside!
A friend of mine once sent us a generous box of sensory/craft/art supplies, which included these giant coffee filters, pipettes, and liquid water colors. Such a fun activity to do together:
Mazy has been begging us to open the pool, and even though it’s too cold yet, it didn’t stop her from “laying out” by the pool:
And the closet is DONE. What I loved about this project and really many of ours, we just repurpose what we have! The only thing we bought was a hack saw to cut the metal bar to fit. Other than that, we just repurposed what we already had:
This girl sure loves her dog:
Mazy birthday is on Tuesday and she wanted to make a cake together this time! I loved the idea, so even though it looked like the leaning tower of Pisa, the time spent together making it, was priceless!
The finished product:
Last, but not least, this past week I FINALLY released my 100 Days of Less series in e-book form! Ever since I created this series on my organizing blog years ago, I always had dreams of putting this idea into an e-book. I decided to do it in a PDF format so that those who do not have e-book devices could still read it. Click the blue button below to purchase!
