Around the Home
Fall is arriving here in Michigan and as much as I’d love for summer/pool weather to be a constant, there is something to be said about wearing sweatshirts, breaking in the jeans again, and warm drinks! With Fall, also comes routine, all things fall including hunting and soccer, and did I mention getting back into routine? I realize I am a routine girl and as spontaneous as I can be, I do like all things Fall. Here’s what our past week has looked like:
On Labor Day, we did a fish fry with Dan’s family…even Mazy got into the catching:
The day before this picture was taken, Mazy was BEGGING to get a loose tooth. I just kept telling her that it will eventually happen when it’s supposed to happen. Well, the next day after school, Mazy ran out telling me that she had a loose tooth! Didn’t take long. She’s about as excited to have a loose tooth as she will be when it falls out, I think!
Story of our life I feel like…fixing things! Okay, it’s mostly DAN fixing things. Okay, it’s ALWAYS Dan fixing things…
I got home from work this week to these hanging on our cupboards:
She just couldn’t wait any longer and had to paint the one pumpkin we had!
Mazy has often told us that she wants to play 2 sports: soccer and basketball. So, here’s to her first year of rec soccer! She even scored a goal…
Can you tell she has a loose tooth :)?
Seeing other porches decorated with pumpkins, Mazy and I decided it was time to decorate ours! If you live in West Michigan, check out Autumn Harvest Farms in Zeeland! GREAT selection and very reasonably priced!
This goofball loves to go hunting with daddy and this time, they took her best friend, Maggie:
THIS describes her life in a nutshell. Hunting geese, with her dog, using a goose call, with nails painted and facepaint on:
Then she was invited last minute to a friend’s birthday party, so here’s how we ended up leaving. Quite the style there, girlie. Now THAT’S MY GIRL!
