Around the Home
I feel like a farmer’s daughter in saying this, okay, I come by it naturally, but has anyone taken note of the incredible weather we’ve had in Michigan as of late? Sunny and 60s-70s across the board, it seems! I wondered why I didn’t have much to share in pictures, but I realize it’s because we are having too much fun outside and soaking life in. Not a bad alternative, I say!
Mazy adores her cousins! Especially when she can have a “spa” time with them:
At youth group, Dan set up a version of “Clue” throughout the church for the game. Here is the Elsa Barbie, hiding in the fireplace. Meanwhile, the weapon, a spatula, was hidden in a doorframe. Love Dan’s creative ideas:
So thankful for youth group kids who have siblings to play with while at their sporting events! Tennis match = Barbie playing time for Mazy:
Dan turned 39 on Friday! Sadly I have no pictures of the festivities, but I at least took one of the cake Mazy and I made! Mazy wanted to make a hunting cake, so we gave camouflage a whirl…it’s seen better days. Then Mazy added some of her toy turkeys as decoys and a GI Joe gun to top it off, along with a hunting dog, of course:
Mazy wanted to give a “special” gift to her daddy, so she took her bird encyclopedia book and wrapped it in aluminum foil for her to open. Of course she wanted the book back though :)! I have to admit though, aluminum foil makes a GREAT wrapping paper…no tape needed! Genius idea, Mazy…
I had a heart appointment with my electrophysiologist via video on Friday, and nothing new to report, which is always a good sign! I head to Ann Arbor on Wednesday for a heart failure appointment, which is timely though. I’ve been wrestling with low blood pressures and the culprit, we are unsure of. So it will be good to address that issue since it’s hard to sometimes function with a BP of mid-80s/50! Hoping it’s nothing and will just be a simple med change, but the timing of it all couldn’t have been more perfect. I mean, why would I expect anything less? God ALWAYS works his ways in HIS perfect timing.
