Around the Home
Welcome fall, once again, Michiganders! Gotta love living in the midwest…ya just never know what’s coming your way! Shoot, at one point, we had hail this week. I’m a person that if it’s going to get cold, might as well snow. Okay, it hasn’t been THAT cold, but when I told Mazy is it was in the 40s, she asked if they had to have indoor recess because it would be too cold to go outside? Oh sweetie, not quite! She has clearly forgotten how cold it got in Minnesota when we lived there. Anywho, enough about the weather! Not much new here, just school and the routine happenings throughout the week. So here’s what we’ve been up to this week.
On Saturday, we were able to go to John Ball Zoo with some wonderful friends of ours and even though it was a little chilly, we had such a great time!
Mazy’s favorite were the red pandas. One actually had just had babies, but they were staying nice and cozy inside:
For a kiddo, the zoo just never gets old and I just LOVE seeing life through a child’s eye:
This tiger didn’t mind saying “hello” to the kiddos:
When Mazy was Facetiming her cousin, she told her that she was breaking up all her crayons so that she didn’t have to share them. She figured if she broke them in half, she would have more to share and she didn’t have to give up the one she was using because she would have “extras”. Interesting, I thought, but genius in a way! So now if you come to our house, you will have half a crayon to use…hope you’re not disappointed!
One of Mazy’s favorite activities is going on a walk on Sunday afternoons to look for painted rocks. This week, we found the neatest fish:
Just love walking/biking through our town! They always do such an amazing job of decorating for the season. Makes us love each season all the more!
Can’t believe this sweet girl is my little 5 year old, but every day, I am reminded of the blessing and miracle she is. Couldn’t be more thankful for my mini-me!
And once again, never a dull moment 🙂
