Around the Home
You may have seen in my social media posts that the coronavirus has hit the Sterk household. Here is what I posted:
It’s been a crazy time of life, but who hasn’t this been a crazy time for, right? Whether you get the virus or not, it’s still a crazy time. And can I just tell you, God has just been BEYOND gracious to us? We were getting prepared for the worst if I got with with heart failure. I let Michigan know and we had a plan in place. But the plan never had to be executed and it is so humbling. Nothing of our doing, but only God. We know that so many others are walking a very different road, so we are not taking this for granted! At my worst, I had symptoms of congestion, body aches, a good headache, worn out, loss of taste and smell, and loss of appetite. But not much different than the flu, and again, we couldn’t be more thankful!
Meanwhile, I isolated for awhile and here is what happened when I wasn’t around (photo credit goes to Dan):
Dan needed some grips on his gloves, so Mazy squirted some dots of puffy paint on Dan’s gloves…nothing like an “art” project:
And since I was quarantining away from the fam, Mazy jumped into our bed one night and this is how Dan found Mazy and Maggie…two peas in a pod. These 2 are literally inseperable:
Mazy’s teacher has gone above and BEYOND when it comes to including Mazy in the classroom! Since she has to be quarantined, she’s been able to do Zoom’s with her classmates, which has been such a blessing! Everyday she looks forward to seeing her teacher and classmates, who she misses dearly!
Dan and I were just saying, we remember back in March thinking, wow, what if we got the virus? And now to think 9 months later, here we are, it’s just crazy to think how rapidly it is spreading. Before, we didn’t know really more than 1 or 2 who had it, and now, it’s running rampant. Again, it just goes to show, we can only do so much as humans. Let’s rest in the peace and sovereignty of God! For that is where true peace, comfort, and rest is found.
