Around the Home
This week was quite an exciting week in our household because Mazy could finally go back to school! Our covid quarantine was definitely the hardest for our daughter Mazy, who never got sick (just had the sniffles for a day), but had to miss out on school for a few weeks. But in good ole Mazy fashion, she was such a trooper! So this week we made the most of us all being “free” and enjoying all that this season has to offer:
It was dress up in red and green day for Mazy’s first day back, and isn’t she the most adorable elf?
I could write a whole blog post on this, but our local library is AMAZING! They even have ice skates to rent (FOR FREE), to use on the local ice rink. Mazy has been wanting to learn in the worst way, so we decided to give them a whirl. Granted it’s not regular ice, but a synthetic form, though was perfect for Mazy to learn on. And by the end, she had it down!
When your daughter steals your phone and wants to take pictures, this is what you find. Artistic maybe?
On Saturday, we celebrated Christmas with my family…a day we always look forward to! Family gatherings are always so treasured.
Mazy was SO excited to open presents! I just love seeing holidays through a child’s eyes. Brings it all back into perspective and the simple joys in life!
She has been wanting a fitbit for awhile now, so even though it’s not a “real” one (shhhh…don’t tell her), she thinks it is the BEST thing ever!
This girl and dogs…she wanted to step back into her baby years and get a larger dog hooded towel:
And who doesn’t love having a baton?
We ended the night playing bingo for prizes. Always lots of excitement and fun had by all.
This week we look forward to continuing to reflect on the birth of our Savior. We have been working through Ann Voskamp’s
The Wonder of the Greatest Gift. We’ve gone through this the past 2 years and Mazy loves being able to put the little “ornament” on the tree. Hopefully the more we do it, the more she understands the beauty and miracle of this season.
