Around the Home
Another week in the books! We have enjoyed getting back into the routine of school, though it always means a busier schedule, right? So to say the least, last week I had ZERO pictures from the week and this week, just a small handful. So here we go:
Mazy is obsessed with the idea that Lord-willing, Mazy will have puppies this year! So, she felt the need to “prepare” Maggie and practice by putting stuffed animal puppies by Maggie and pretend that they were drinking milk. Strangely enough, Maggie was licking the stuffed animals and we thought hey, she’s got this thing down! Oh Mazy and oh Maggie…
On Monday we headed to Dan’s parents to ice skate on their pond. Some parts were a little shady, but we just avoided those. We weren’t sure how Mazy would do since the first and only time she skated was on synthetic ice, but after a few rounds, she was able to go slowly but surely on her own! So proud of her bravery and confidence!
I was glad I had no wipe-outs because I sure am not in my 20s anymore! Not sure how the recovery from a good fall would go…
She braved it on her own:
Like I said, there were some shady spots, but even if you stomped as hard as you could, it still wouldn’t break, even though it looks terrible:
Mazy and I decided to bake some cookies on Saturday (a tradition I learned from my mom growing up):
And that has been our week! Really though, our week was filled with school, work, and repeat! But I’ll admit, being in routine is always a good feeling too. Do you thrive off of routines?
