Around the Home
Sure was a snowy and chilly week here in the Midwest! It’s going to be a little quiet here these next 2 weeks as our family goes on a little hiatus to Florida to visit Dan’s parents. We are ready to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate as we explore more of God’s creation and soak in a little vitamin D in the process! We have been anticipating this trip for awhile, knowing so much can change these days when planning a trip, but we just pray that whatever happens, we will be okay with it and just go with the flow. So here’s to some of our last few days in Michigan before we hit the air and Lord-willing, land in some warmer weather. This is our first “big” trip that we’ve taken as a family of 3 (besides traveling to Minnesota to visit friends), so needless to say, we are ecstatic and Mazy cannot WAIT to snorkel in the ocean. Just can’t keep that girl out of water.
Anyways, here’s what this past week looked like…
I sometimes wonder how in the world I survived living in Minnesota! I forgot how cold COLD is.
It was superhero day for Mazy’s 100th day of school, so Dan sewed her a cute little superwoman mask so that she could dress the part:
Gymnast, superhero, and Elsa all in one:
And then add in a facemask…
Mazy aspires to be many things in life, with one of them being a teacher. We heard Mazy talking in her room and found her teaching her doll in her unicorn housecoat. Just loved listening to her and standing in wonder of what her interests might be when she grows up…
A friend of ours created this ice “castle” at a local retirement home:
Never a dull moment…I look over my shoulder while making cookies and this is what I see…Maggie with a medal around her neck after “winning” a race. As you can see, she isn’t that impressed…
And this is the last picture on my phone…and this is what happens when your daughter takes your phone to “look” at pictures:
