Around the Home
This is an exciting week as SCHOOL STARTS this week! Hard to believe it is that time already, but this is why I love the different seasons of life that God has given us. Not only different weather seasons, but seasons of routine and seasons of less routine. Thankful for each phase of life! Mazy will be starting 1st grade and this is her first year as full-time student. It will be a bit strange not having her home at all, but I’ll be spending 3 full days at her school working as a paraprofessional, so it’s not like I won’t see her.
Nevertheless, we have eaten up the last few days of summer! It has a been a HOT one in West Michigan and so time in the pool has been a must, including buzzing over to the Splash Pad after swimming. Mazy can never get enough water:
This past week we also had our youth group kiddie pool kickball event! Think kickball, but with slip and slides as baselines and kiddie pools as the bases. And the best part? NO INJURIES! This is one of those events that someone could easily get hurt I suppose, but it was a success:
Another thing we love about summer is gardening. Though, our garden this year was the biggest flop :). Thankfully my parents were so generous with theirs! Mazy just loves gardening, including helping Grandpa, but hopefully ours is a bit more successful next year!
