Around The Home
This past week has been INCREDIBLE. I have not felt this good in months! When I think back to the past two months, I still have a hard time comprehending everything that occurred, but He is working wonders with that too. It’s one thing if you see it coming and you can prepare yourself, but it’s a different story when you come out of it, not fully understanding everything that happened. Though I think it’s a good thing I didn’t have time to comprehend it all because I probably would have been scared, instead of in the mindset of “whatev.” That was Dan and I’s word we continually used when told various things. Whatev! Whatever it takes to get through it and get me healthy.
I have not had a fever since Monday night and that is when I think I turned a corner. Whatever my body has been fighting off, I think it’s cleared! I think those fevers took more out of me than I knew, but I didn’t know what “normal” was – and still don’t. All I know is that my body is getting pieced back together and what a blessing. To walk away from that whole ordeal with minimal issues really, is a miracle. Just to be WALKING is a miracle in my mind.
It is a bit of an emotional season, getting together with friends and family, knowing my life could have looked so different. I could still be bed ridden. I could still be struggling and unable to go out, but God has granted me so much healing. When you realize what it “should” be like and what God has done, it just makes me tear up. It has been a humbling experience.
Anyways, here is what our week looked like!
Mazy has been into playing school, which the next two pictures prove! This is a common scene in our home these days! Just to hear her “read” to her “children” (as she calls them), just melts my heart!
We finally made it to the model train set up in the basement of our library! Mazy LOVES trains and it sure was a hit!
Snuggles with daddy never get old!
Every week when I pull the sheets off our bed to wash them, Mazy enjoys jumping into all the pillows! The higher she gets off the ground, the better of course!
Mazy pretending once again with her favorite puppy, which was given to her as a special gift. That is one thing we NEVER saw coming, was how much love you all have had for Mazy in all of this! Packages from all over the U.S., filled with love for us and our daughter. Thank you for blessing her too!
As you know, I LOVE Usborne books, and recently they came out with these wipe-clean Alphabet cards that not only help them learn their ABCs, but as they grow, they can learn to write too! They also make First Word cards and Number Cards! Only $9.99! Click HERE for the Alphabet link!
We attended the Holland Christian band and choir concert on Saturday, which Mazy enjoyed as well!
There is something about seeing the sun set behind my parent’s house! We were there for a Christmas party and it just reminded me of how GOOD our God is! Last year, my Uncle Terry’s life was in jeopardy and medically, should not have made it. But our God is a God of miracles and healing, and what a joy it was to see him as a walking miracle on Saturday. That sunset is a reminder of how much God has brought us through and how faithful He has been!
