Around The Home
Another winter week in the books and another good week at that! We have been highly motivated to do some more house projects, which has been good rehab/therapy for me with all of the movement that is required! I am a clean lines type girl, so I think things looking crisp and clean. Therefore, that means I like my whites white in the house! We decided to start tackling the upstairs, which means taking down wallpaper and fixing some of the walls. Eventually, we will move Mazy up there so she can have her own little space. She is already excited, though we have a little ways to go. We have all of the wall paper off in the front room and now just have our middle room and stairwell to do! It honestly has been a lot of fun. I also started cardiac rehab and what a DIFFERENCE it is making! It has been a wonderful experience thus far and I can’t wait to see what comes of it 10 weeks from now!
Below is a picture of the adhesive still left on the wall and what was underneath the wallpaper…
Dan went goose hunting on Saturday morning and even though they didn’t see anything, a beautiful sunrise was on the horizon
We learned quickly that we do not live in Minnesota anymore, where it’s a bit less populated and busy. We had a gift card to the Olive Garden and decided to spend it, so we got there at 5:00pm in Grandville, MI on Saturday. Little did we know that we were WAY too late, as people were waiting outside already and we couldn’t even find a parking spot. As we drove by a few more restaurants it was the same story, so the food court in the mall it was! We learned a valuable lesson that we are not THAT old in wanting to eat dinner early…as many others were thinking the same thing!
Mazy LOVES carousels! We knew that by going to the mall, she would be begging us to ride the carousel and we figured why not? To see this smile and to have other people comment about how much she loves it too, made us realize what cheap and fun entertainment for a sweet little 2 year old!
Checking out the fish at Cabela’s!
One thing we love about being in youth ministry is supporting our youth in their extra curricular activities. Thankfully Mazy is always willing to tag along with us. Here we are at a basketball game and later in the week, we also went to a swim meet! It always helps when there is popcorn too…
Oh I LOVE being an auntie to this sweet little girl, Ava! She likes to nuzzle her head into your neck and I surely didn’t complain!
We color, draw, and paint a LOT at our house! Mazy is into drawing people and this is just priceless to me! You see the eyes and nose, well then the two little lines at the bottom? Those are the legs :).
It was a little chilly at times, so hot chocolate it was!
Close to 40 degrees meant it was time to go to the park! Even though there was still plenty of snow on the ground, we still had fun getting outside and breathing in the fresh air! Not to mention, this park is just down our street too!
That smile…
Mazy has been in a snuggly mood lately! Dan’s favorite part of his day…
Hope you all have a good week!
