Around The Home
This past week was an exciting week as I closed the chapter at cardiac rehab this past Friday! It was a bit chillier this week, but we still had plenty of fun! Here’s what’ been going on…
On Sunday for youth group, Dan last minute, decided to do a prayer walk with the youth group kids. We walked to various places throughout downtown Zeeland, praying for the leadership, students, and families of this area. May our leaders know that they are uplifted in prayer!
It was a BEAUTIFUL night to walk around town praying!
We ended the prayer walk by praying on the front steps of our church!
Even though it was cold outside, it didn’t stop Mazy from wanting to wear a new bathing suit that some dear friends of ours got her for her birthday!
I enjoy braiding, so when Mazy let me put a french braid in her, I went for it as fast as I could!
Mazy wanted to play tennis, so my handy dandy husband made her a “racket” out of scrap wood! Now she plays tennis everyday!
Like I said, it was my last week at rehab, which was incredibly bittersweet! This week starts a new chapter of “rehabing” at home. Hopefully this week’s blood draws are a bit more normal. Last week’s results were abnormal, which was a bit frustrating after all that has occurred in the past 6 months, but God’s plans are still perfect. Learning to trust those perfect plans, day by day!
On Saturday, we had a youth group event at Craig’s Cruisers. It was SO much fun…the kids seemed to have a blast and so did Mazy! We just love that Mazy can grow up with them loving her too. She has so many big sisters and brothers who love her! Though I wouldn’t suggest playing skee ball next to her…she chucks that ball hard and it is known to fly to other “courses.”
First time bowling!
Vroom vroom…
There was an indoor roller coaster that seemed pretty tame, but then I read this what I would call “guideline” below…Dan thought it was pretty funny that since I was done with rehab, that I thought I could do anything! For the record, it really wasn’t that intense, but had all the giggles and fun I needed on that ride!
After a busy day and a skipped nap, Mazy was OUT!!! Note the legs hanging off the edge…
Finally, on Friday, we had the BEST surprise show up at our door! One of our former pastors and his family had stopped by! They were in town for a wedding and oh my goodness what a fun time it was. Tammy watched Mazy OFTEN while I ran errands or had appointments while we lived in Minnesota. They were and forever will be family to us! Thanks to them for enveloping us into their family while we lived there! As you can see, Mazy was just a tad excited to see them too. Hannah is one of our former youth group kids and oh do we miss her! Just miss them ALL!
LOVE this family!
This week we have a few appointments with Mazy and with the weather getting nice, we hope to start working on projects outside! Oh to see the sun again and feel the warmth of sun on our faces!
