Around The Home
Oh what fun the snow has been! We spent plenty of time outside this past week, enjoying every snowflake we could…even eating a few! Yes, I still have this child-ish side of me! We spent a lot of time at home this past week, which of course isn’t a bad thing, but that meant we got pretty creative! Here’s what our week consisted of:
You bet, Mazy was outside PRETTY early Monday morning, playing in the snow!
We live in the “city,” so since a sledding hill is not readily available outside our back door, Dan made a sledding “hill” down our deck steps by packing them with snow. A genius idea that makes the PERFECT sledding hill for Mazy! Dan did take Mazy to the Zeeland Christian hill later in the week and from what I understood, that hill was FAST!
Monday night our town had a Christmas parade that Mazy just absolutely LOVED. We forgot to bring her noise-reducing earmuffs (Dan’s shooting muffs), but she did GREAT!
We made a trip to the library to get new books and Mazy is my big helper by helping me scan the books. She’s got it down and you can sure bet I can’t touch the book!
We made a “growth chart” for Mazy’s stuffed animals, so she had to mark on there how tall they were 🙂
$7 gingerbread house (ginger bar as Mazy calls it) kit from Aldi was a steal and indeed, not all of the candy made it on the house!
Mazy looks forward every week to clean her fishy’s water bowl and honestly, she is REALLY good at catching them with the net! Unfortunately another one died, so we have one left, but goldie is still going strong!
Dan and Mazy were dancing together in the living room, which was just priceless! Daddy’s little princess!
Somebody wanted to take a funny-face pic!
And somebody got ahold of my phone…
Today was puzzle week! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to do puzzles and so for my birthday, which was Tuesday, Dan got me a Big House puzzle!
That meant Mazy had to do her Paw Patrol puzzles too and she is GOOD at them – a girl after my own heart!
“Decorating” our wrists with hair twisties:
Redneck Christmas party!
More games…
Me and my girl at the parade:
So I did turn 35 this week and it was the perfect day! I ran errands with my girl in the morning, got my hair cut in the afternoon, then went out to eat with my loves at night to one of my favorite restaurants, Vitale’s. Such a different birthday where we could actually go and do something! Just SO blessed to be where we are at! Hope you all have a great week!
