Around The Home
This week was filled with many different activities and happenings! March is always a busy month and it sure hasn’t disappointed once again, but I really do LOVE this month! Mazy’s birthday, youth group happenings, house projects, you name it! But a fun month!
A few little tidbits that I don’t have “in pictures” is that I am officially done taking my amiodarone med, that is preventing my crazy extra beats, so I am a little nervous to see how the next 8 weeks go, but I’m trusting that I can make it to May 22 and do it with confidence and hopefully energy!
Also, I had a speaking engagement this past week. And I truly love to do this. I honestly grow so much from speaking and I know it is what God is calling me to do during this time of my life. I am not always the most confident, but when I start to get nervous, I remind myself that it’s not about me, but about God! And boy, when you keep God as your center, it’s life-changing, isn’t it?
Anyways, we’ve been working on our back upstairs room, where a lot of holes had to be patched, lots of smoothing out, and Dan even made a balcony, where two walls used to stand:
We also gave the ceiling a fresh coat of paint as well:
Believe it or not, that half-wall used to be a full wall – Dan did an incredible job opening it up!
Mazy had her first OFFICIAL haircut this past week, at the age of 4. Her last “haircut” was when I trimmed off her mullet at 17ish months. It was HIGH time to say the least. She was a bit nervous, but now can’t wait to go back!
Her smile clearly says that she is enjoying it!
Mazy wants “Elsa” hair, so she didn’t want a lot cut off, which I get. She even wore her Elsa dress to get her haircut if that says anything…
Cutest little 4 year old with a new do!
Hanging out at Grandpa and Grandma Sterk’s new house:
Checking out the pond behind their new house, dreaming of fishing:
Mazy had some birthday money to spend and she wanted to buy bath crayons. Well, we had some water heater issues the morning she wanted to take a bath, so she wrote on the side of the tub as an alternative. Whatever it takes!
Checking out what Hobby Lobby has to offer…the options are just endless:
On Saturday, we picked up a dear friend from the airport and Mazy could not WAIT! Bri is like a big sister to Mazy and you can clearly see how fast she is running, just to see her! Priceless picture:
This week we have a lot going on to catch up from a crazy week, so hopefully I can start plugging away at the good ole to-do list this week. Have a blessed week!
