Around The Home Part 1
Time to get caught up! With last week’s appointment at the University of Michigan for my heart, I did not get a chance to do an “Around The Home” post. I enjoy blogging because I truly see it as my personal journal as well. When I miss a post, I miss taking the time to look back on my week and count the many blessings God has given us in that week.
I have had some people ask me about the videos Dan posted about me coming out of sedation this past Monday, and if you are looking for a good laugh, feel free to check them out on Facebook HERE. (just scroll down). Also, Dan asked my permission to post them and gladly said yes, since you know us, we hide nothing. The calm and the crazy. And if you know me, these videos will not and do not come as a surprise!
Here is a glimpse of what’s been going on with the Sterks:
I feel I take pics of Mazy sleeping in car more often than I need to, but she is just too sweet not to.
On the way home from Dan’s dad’s birthday party, we made a pit stop at Rocky Gap with his brother’s family! Of course, Mazy couldn’t stop giggling and squealing over the waves! What joy this kiddo brings to life!
Just me and my girl!
The pool is getting a bit chilly, but it doesn’t stop this girl!
Mazy deals with constipation and she knows the only way she can have a chunk of cheese is if she poops. She is now trained to say ” HAVE CHEESE” after she goes because she knows that’s the only time she can have it! Clearly she is pretty excited she just successfully did #2 and got her cheese!
This past Wednesday, we went to the Hudsonville Fair, to check out all the animals. It definitely did not disappoint!
We spent quite a bit of time “driving” the tractors!
No fair time is complete without an elephant ear! Her first…and no shocker, she loved it!
We pulled out Mazy’s old Halloween costume, that she has worn the past 2 years (since she’s been born). We were unsure if we could squeeze a 3rd year out of it and even though we got it on her, I can’t say it’ll be comfortable. I think we finally have to retire…the bear suit.
Mom, seriously?
She looks just as cute…though her feet are about to break the seams!
So thankful for our little family!
Special moment for Kristin: being able to put a braid in Mazy’s hair! I LOVE to braid hair for some reason, always have, so this was an exciting moment in my life 🙂
More pictures to come!
