Blogging Intentionally
As I said in my last post, I want to be more intentional.
One of the ways I want to be more intentional, is in my blogging. Some may see blogging as a “chore,” but it is something I have grown to love, have learned more about myself through, has challenged me to be more open, and has just offered a way to reflect on life.
I have decided that each day, I am going to be intentional about what I blog about – I plan on accomplishing this through having a subject for each day. I am sure the days will vary in some way, at some point, because of the events of life – sometimes I just get so excited about things that I can’t WAIT to write about it!!
Here is what I have come up with so far (it is a work in progress in and of itself):
Sunday – I have given up blogging on Sundays. Not that it’s work b/c I love it, but it’s something I wanted to do.
Monday – Matters of the Heart – I live for and love God. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. He is the reason I am who I am today. I strive to be more and more like Him everyday, so why not start off the week talking about my Father? I want to share what He is doing in my life, things He is teaching me, things He is challenging me with, and where I see God. I hope to do this daily in some sense, but intentionally on Mondays.
Tuesdays – Creating a Home – here I plan on talking about what makes our home, our home (a home doesn’t necessarily have to be a physical place as we don’t have our own physical house. But as the saying goes, “home is where the heart is”). So this will include my crafting loves, ideas, recipes, etc. The things that make up the home in our hearts.
Wednesdays – Update on the Family Life. ‘Nuf said.
Thursdays – Thrifty Thursday (aka simply, living). I am hoping to give tips on how to live simply, organized, and how I am trying to live with less of me and more of God in life.
Fridays – Grace-Full Goals. Why grace-full? Because that is what I will need! I am sure I will fail at some of them (what a positive attitude, right :)?) I have goals that I want to accomplish this year. I am hoping to choose a goal each week and talk about how I am working to accomplis it. (Yes, I will be listing those goals in an upcoming blog post). Sure won’t be able to accomplish the goals without some grace!
Saturdays – ya never know!
I hope you have had some time to think about what you would like to change in your life! Ask God! Ask the One who created you! I can’t tell you how excited I am for this year – to see what God has planned for us. Looking back at 2012, though it was a very difficult year on many different levels, I am so thankful for it and so thankful for God had in store for us. I am going into 2013 with those same anticipations!
