Bridal Shower Game Ideas
Love is in the air! It is that time of year again and wedding showers are flooding people’s schedules. Whether you are planning or are a part of one, one of the most fun parts of the day are the crazy games that are played. Having been to a few, I decided to share with you, some REALLY SIMPLE games, that I have appreciated. Some of them may be old school, but I am all about simple and easy. If you are stuck on planning a shower, hopefully a few of these games will give you some ideas.
The Price Is Right:
A fun grocery game, where you can create your own category or meal, using various grocery items. For example, you could buy all of the ingredients to make fettucine alfredo with a salad and dessert. Then guests have to guess what each grocery item was purchased for. You could also buy a bunch of baking items and do the same – have guests guess that cost of each item. At the end, have guests add up the total for all and the person closest to the “total retail price” wins. Then the bride to be gets to keep all of the groceries.
Guess the Kitchen Gadget:
Put about 20 kitchen gadgets in paper bags. Give a gadget to each guest (or how ever many you have) and have guests feel the bag and decide what gadget they think it is. Have them write down the answer that corresponds with the number on the bag. You can hand out a piece of paper with numbers 1-20 on it. For example, if #8 is a cheese grater, they would fill in #8 with that name.
Memory Game:
Put a bunch of household items on a table, ranging in size. Make them as random as can be. Cover them with a towel. Each group of guests gets 20 seconds to look at the items, then go back to their seat and write down as many items as they can remember. The person with the most right answers, wins. You can vary the time limit based on the number of items on the table.
Ingredient Guessing Game:
Put all of these powders in ziplock baggies or jars. Write a number on each jar. Guests that have to guess what the powder is and write down the corresponding number the with ingredient they think it is. This game may sound easy, but once you see the powders on their own, it is quite difficult, yet fun.
Name the Cake:
An old school game, but challenging and fun as you think about just how many different cakes are out there!
