Day 3 : Cards

photo source Yesterday I asked what you most valued? Were you able to make a list? If so, did you find yourself listing more items than you would like? Valuing something in and of itself isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Valuing something you worked hard for, makes you appreciate the effort you put into obtaining it….
In efforts to live with less and pare down when it comes to EVERYTHING I own, I have come to grips with some very deep truths about myself. Well okay, maybe not “deep” truths, but realizations that: I am never going to be what I think I might be someday. Let me explain. I used…
Wax paper. Something we often keep stocked in our pantries – mainly just for cooking/baking. Can you really use wax paper for anything else? You bet! You will want to make sure you always keep wax paper in stock! 1. Wrap your cheese in wax paper so that it lasts longer, then wrap in foil….
What: Ribbon Why: Ribbon is something we often just throw in a bin and it gets all tangled and twisted together, resulting in gigantic knots and frustration. The desire to do a craft with ribbon is less exciting when you think about the mess of ribbon you have to deal with first. Do you use…
I recently asked my readers if they had any questions for me, questions about our life, or questions that I maybe have not answered before. I had a good friend of mind ask me: Do we keep every receipt for every purchase? How do we keep track of what we spend? Do we use an…
What: Towels Why: Towels can fill our cupboards to the brim – towels that we do not even use. How: Figure out how many towels you use on an average week. Keep some for guests. Anything more (or any towel you never use), get rid of. This even sounds simple, but often we have more…

Awesome idea, Kristin! I tried taking a day at the beginning of the year and making all of the cards that I thought I would need for the year, but I never finished. But at least I got some done so I'm slightly ahead of the game!
Very clever idea!
Thanks Carol! It took me all too long to figure out a good system for cards, but I would say I now found it!

I love this idea and will be doing it soon!
I go to the dollar store about every 2-3 months and buy for the upcoming Special Days, Sympathy and Thinking of You cards. I place them in my box and just pull them out when the time comes. I set the birthdays and appointments up on the calendar located on my PC. I place the birthdays on 4 days in advance and receive a reminder in my e-mail box. This gives me time to mail the cards. Works out great.
What a great idea to put the dates in a calendar on your computer and then have an email reminder! Then you are bound to never forget :)! The dollar store truly has some good cards – you just have to take the time to look. Love it! Thank you for sharing!
Great idea! I would love it if you joined and contribute your awesome posts at my link party at City of Creative Dreams on Fridays 😀 Hope to see you there at City of Creative Dreams Link Party.
