Far More Than We Could Ever Imagine
Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
With a new year upon us, a new chapter in our stories open, have you wondered what this year will bring? Have you thought about ways God can use you? Or have you just set goals for yourself and kept the focus within?
When you read those verses from Ephesians, that he is “able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE than all we ask or imagine…” do you believe that verse is for you too?
As I enter 2023 with Stage 3 heart failure and acute myeloid leukemia, I too, want to believe that He can do immeasurably more. But maybe the “more” isn’t what I would humanly choose first. The priority of healing always seems to be at the forefront when disease hits. But what if, what IF, God would get greater glory through the trial? I can guarantee you that no matter what you face this year, whatever trial may come, if you enter it with an open heart, God will show you Himself in ways you’ve never seen before. He will offer a peace unlike any you’ve felt before. IF you are willing to accept it.
Philippians 4:9 says, “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
Do you want to have peace? Whatever God teaches you, put it into practice. Boom. Plain and clear.
God wants to do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine in our lives this new year. Are you willing to let him do the work? Are you willing to let the trials that He allows in your life to change and shape you to reflect Him more? To let it draw you closer to Him? Or will you just push him away? What if God is using those trials to bless others THROUGH you? Maybe God is using you to draw OTHERS closer to Him?
This year, no matter what may come your way, reflect on what God may be teaching you about himself through the trials. Think about how God might be using it for a far greater purpose than you could ever imagine. Think about how God might be using YOU to further His kingdom in ways you’ll never know.
Our purpose on this earth is far greater than we will ever see. Rest in the peace of God, knowing that He is able to do far more than we could ever imagine.
