Home Tour – Bathroom #1
Let’s be honest. The bathroom is used often. Whether it’s to get ready, take a shower, take a medication, grab a band-aid, check to see if that spice is still on the tooth, or to actually just go to the bathroom; it’s used OFTEN. At least ours is! It is one of those places sees a lot of foot traffic and in my mind, is an important room in the home.
When we moved in, the bathroom was painted a beautiful medium blue color. NOTHING wrong with it, but I was looking to stick with my gray/light colored theme, so I decided to paint this room as well. I like a bright bathroom, since it’s the place I head usually when I first open my eyes in the morning. I need SOMETHING to help me keep those eyes open! So here’s what our bathroom (on the main floor) looks like:
We have a shower/tub, which is wonderful when having a young child in the home! We did have to replace the shower insert because we found some mold behind it, so we decided to just go ahead and replace the insert and the drywall behind it. The previous owners had a cute shower curtain hanging, which I kept because it fit perfectly with the new color! Dan also added a hook for Mazy’s towel right next to the shower, which is handy to have!
That sign is my favorite to read every morning – “In the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus.” I bought it from Hobby Lobby and it’s still there in case you were wondering! We have a large mirror that was there, above the sink, with great storage below and to the right of the sink. This bathroom, like the rest of our home, has tall ceilings, which we LOVE!
There’s the hook I was talking about for Mazy’s towel, and there you nestled in there is the toilet with more storage above the toilet. I feel the bathroom is roomy and is by far the largest bathroom we have ever had, which is GREAT, especially since Mazy likes to “get ready” with me.
And oh the giggles and squeals Mazy lets out while taking a bath! One of her most favorite times of the day!

So thankful this room was updated and did not need to be gutted like many bathrooms need! This is definitely a place I don’t mind walking into every morning! If you want to check out the rest of the home tour thus far, here’s a look into our kitchen, dining room, and the living room.
